The Winnipeg Jets have re-signed both Connor Hellebuyck and Mark Scheifele to massive contract extensions, the team announced on Monday afternoon.

It's a great day to be a Winnipeg Jets fan. While there was initial uncertainty whether the players would stay in Winnipeg, the team officially announced the signing of both Hellebuyck and Scheifele on this thanksgiving Monday.
Both players contracts are identical, and carry an AAV of $8.5 Million for 7 years ($59.5M).

Scheifele, 30, has received an impressive raise in salary coming off a career-high 42 goal season. He has established himself as an elite player in the league.
Hellebuyck, 30, manages to keep himself in the Vezina discussion on a regular basis. He's coming off an impressive .920 SV%, 2.49 GAA season with the Jets.
Both contracts look solid for the Jets, and their fans should be excited about keeping their core for years to come.
