According to the Toronto Sun, the Leaf's are no longer Canada's most valuable franchise. The Toronto Raptors are officially the new number one franchise worth a whopping $2.2 billion dollars that's a growth of over 400% the past 10 years.

The Raptors growth is mainly contributed due to their recent playoff success, and them winning the 2018-19 NBA championship.

In fact, as of 2021, the Maple Leaf's ($1.8B) are no longer the most valuable NHL franchise. That title now belongs to the New York Rangers, with an estimated valuation of $2 Billion.

As of 2021, the Leaf's growth has been on a steady increase. They saw their value shoot up by 20%, with a 64% increase over a 5-year span. However, that is not enough to keep up with the surging Raptors.

Will the Maple Leaf's regain that number 1 spot in Canada? If the Leaf's can find some playoff success, anything is possible.
