Carl Hagelin announces his retirement from Pro Hockey at 35

At 35 years of age, NHL veteran Carl Hagelin has decided to hang up his skates.


A native of Sodertalje, Sweden, Hagelin was selected by the New York Rangers in the sixth round (No. 168) of the 2007 NHL Draft and quickly made his way to North America to begin his path to the NHL.


He has also played for the Anaheim Ducks, Pittsburgh Penguins, LA Kings and Washington Capitals.


in 713 career games, the Left-Winger has put up 110 Goals and 186 Assists for 296 points.


In his career, Hagelin has been to three Stanley Cup Finals, winning twice with the Penguins (2015-16 and 2016-17).

His most notable performance was during the 2015-16 Stanley Cup Playoffs, where the speedy two-way player recorded 6 Goals, 16 points in 24 games.
