On Monday afternoon, it was announced that Ryan Hartman has been suspended by the NHL's Department of Player Safety.
Hartman had a hearing Monday morning, which resulted in a two-game suspension being assessed for a dangerous slewfoot on Detroit's Alex DeBrincat on sunday night.
You can see the video of the incident that led to the suspension below.
This is not Hartman's first time being suspended. His most recent suspension came at the end of the 2022-23 season, when he illegally hit Nikolaj Ehlers in game 81. This resulted in him missing the final regular season game prior to the playoffs.
He was also suspended for one game during the 2017-18 playoffs for an illegal check on Carl Soderberg.
His status as a repeat offender likely resulted in a two-game suspension this time.
