Racially motivated attack during Calgary Flames game leaves Sikh man injured

This is absolutely disgusting, and does not belong in our beloved sport.

Uncle Ji (pictured above) who is a very huge Calgary Flames fan was attending his first ever Calgary Flames game when two Caucasian people attacked and pushed Uncle causing him to fall down rows of seating at the Saddledome, injuring his knee.

This happened during game 7 of the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs right as the game came to an end. The Calgary Flames defeated the Dallas Stars in Overtime, which is when the incident occurred.

The man was pushed down multiple rows of seats, injuring his knee.

Luckily, the suspects had their photos taken directly by his niece after the attack happened.

Update: the Calgary Flames organization has reached out and apologized to the man and offered him two free tickets to an upcoming game.

The man also had an x-ray done to his knee and they are still awaiting test results. A police investigation has been opened up.
