Well, we knew this day was coming. The NHL has given in to the greed, and has begun selling advertisement space on their historic threads.
The Minnesota Wild are now the fourth team to announce their jersey advertisement, behind only the Pittsburgh Penguins, Vegas Golden Knights and Columbus Blue Jackets. Pittsburgh announced Highmark as their sponsor back in April.
Minnesota will now be the first team to wear the jerseys for the 2022-23 season, with more teams likely to follow suit after the floodgates opened.
The official announcement came yesterday on twitter by the Wild, amid harsh backlash from their fanbase.
For the Wild, their jersey sponsor will be TRIA Orthopedics.

TRIA is, of course, already the sponsor for the Wild’s practice facility.
