JT Miller comments on his lack of production, criticism from Canucks fans

Updated: Sep 6, 2023

JT Miller has been in the media for all the wrong reasons during the 2022-23 campaign, and his lackluster play is seemingly getting worse as the season goes on.

Coming off a career high 99 points in 2021-22, the forward has seen his production significantly drop off as he currently sits at just 13 goals and 30 points in 36 games, with a -12 rating.

He has been a major defensive liability for the Canucks, who currently sit 7 points out of a playoff spot with a 16-17-3 record as we approach the halfway mark of the season.

As shared to Tim and Friends via Twitter, JT Miller has made a comment on his lack of production.

"I'd like to say that my lack of production is a compliment to me not cheating the game and playing the right way."

It sounds as though Miller has yet to take responsibility for his poor, undisciplined play.

This clip is from last weeks game between the Canucks and Jets. You can see Miller yell at the Canucks goaltender Collin Delia.

JT Miller signed a monster 7-year, $56,000,000 contract with the Canucks during the offseason. And it won't officially kick in until the upcoming 2023-24 season.
