The hockey world has lost another player and this time its former Anaheim Ducks enforcer Garrett Burnett, at the young age of 46.
Garrett "Rocky" Burnett was known as an enforcer during his 39 games in the NHL with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in the NHL back in the 2003-04 season. During those games, he received 184 penalty minutes.
Following his brief time in the NHL, he joined the Danbury Thrashers of the now defunct UHL (United Hockey League) as a player and assistant coach.
Burnett ended his professional hockey career with the Saint-Jean Chiefs of the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey (LNAH) in Quebec, a league known for its toughness and fighting.
By all accounts, Burnett was a great person. Our sincere condolences to family, friends and fans.
At this time, his cause of death is still unknown.
