Before it finally sold in May, the great one sure had a great house in Thousand Oaks.
The sprawling Gretzky estate sold for a whopping price of $17.6 Million in May of 2021. The house is on a 6.7-acre lot in Thousand Oaks, California.
The house was built by Wayne and Janet Gretzky back in 2002, following Wayne's retirement from the NHL in 1999. Now believe it or not this was not the first time they sold the house, they sold it back in 2007 for $18.5 Million to Lenny Dykstra, a former troubled MLB player who lost the property to foreclosure several years later.
The house was then sold at auction to an unnamed couple; they flipped it less than a year later back to the Gretzky's who paid a discounted $13.5 Million.
The house is approximately 13,000 Sq. Feet of living space, and is ideal for large-scale entertaining. On the outside it includes a massive outdoor pool & spa, championship tennis court with viewing area, stunning gardens and a massive outdoor patio with 360-degree views of the Santa Monica Mountains and Lake Sherwood.
The entrance is decorated by beautiful brickwork and surrounded by towering white pillars.
White & Black appears to be the color trend in these multi-million dollar houses.
