Canucks VS Ducks GameDay preview (Nov 09)

Updated: Nov 25, 2021

The Vancouver Canucks host the Anaheim Ducks at Rogers Arena tonight, puck drop is at 7pm (P.T.) and 10pm (E.T.)

The Vancouver Canucks are hosting their 7th home game tonight against the Anaheim Ducks, before they head to Colorado to play their next game on Thursday at Ball arena.

Tonight will be the first of four battles against Anaheim starting tonight in Vancouver. These two teams last played on February 16, 2020, the Ducks won that game 5-1.

The Ducks have won their last four straight home games. whereas, the Canucks are struggling to get home wins At 2-4 on their current home stand.

Canucks Coach Travis Green had this to say in his pre-game interview about the Ducks:

“A lot of times, when you don't see a team for so long...they've developed. They've got some young guys and a good solid d-core.”

After their last game against the Dallas stars, its clear that the Canucks have worked out some of their power play problems. However, they still need to get their penalty kill issues solved If they want to be a playoff team.

Points Leaders from both teams:

Vancouver Canucks (5-6-1)

Anaheim Ducks (6-4-3)

J.T. Miller (F) = 14

Troy Terry (F) = 14

Conor Garland (F) = 11

Kevin Shattenkirk (D) = 12

BO Horvat (F) = 10

Adam Henrique (F) = 11

Quinn Hughes (D) = 10

Ryan Getzlaf (F) = 11

Canucks projected lineups :

Injured: Luke Schenn (lower body), Matthew Highmore (upper body), Brandon Sutter (illness), Brady Keeper (leg), Tyler Motte (upper body)

Ducks Projected lineups :

Injured: Rickard Rakell (upper body), Max Jones (upper body), Trevor Zegras (upper body)

COVID-19 protocol: Jakob Silfverberg

If the Canucks play with the same spirit and passion they did in their last game against Dallas, then it won't be hard for them to break the current Ducks winning streak.

My Prediction : 5-3 Canucks.
