The Vancouver Canucks will now be able to return to 100% capacity at all home games following changes to restrictions in the province, as per Richard Zussman of Global BC.
This is massive for the Vancouver Canucks as they make their push toward the 2021-22 postseason. Previous restrictions had the Canucks capacity limited to just 50% since mid-December as Omicron cases surged in the province.
The Canucks are now the second Canadian NHL team to return to 100% capacity, following the Winnipeg Jets who will once again be filling their stadium starting on Wednesday night.
Their next home stand begins on Saturday, February 19 when they will play three key divisional matches against the Anaheim Ducks, Seattle Kraken (Feb. 21) and Calgary Flames (Feb. 24).
The Canucks still remain 5 points back of the second Wildcard position in the Western Conference, with significantly more games played than the teams ahead of them.
