Canucks add Luke Schenn, Juho Lammikko to COVID-19 protocol list, morning skate cancelled

The Canucks have cancelled their morning skate on Tuesday Morning when reports came out that there were multiple positive cases coming from the Canucks.


Philip Di Giuseppe has been called up from the Abbotsford Canucks has been called up, and Travis Hamonic had to be placed on LTIR which means he will be out for at least 10 games.


Here is an official statement from the team on the current COVID-19 situation, confirming the positive cases.


All members of the Vancouver Canucks have been fully vaccinated, with Travis Hamonic being the latest member of the club to get his second vaccine dose.


The Canucks had just played the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday Night when they won 2-1. Carolina had sat their star forward Sebastian Aho after he was reportedly not feeling well, and he has now recently been placed in COVID-19 protocol.

Seth Jarvis of Carolina had also recently been placed in protocol, they both remain in Vancouver following Sunday’s game. Also, the Hurricanes had 4 additional positive cases today. And Tonights game between Carolina-Minnesota has been postponed.

The NHL may be forced to take action following the current COVID-19 situation after multiple teams have reported COVID-19 outbreaks recently.


The Calgary Flames were the most recent team to halt their season following (recently updated) 9 players positive, and one member of management. They will not be playing until at least December 16 as they attempt to get their COVID situation under control.


Today the Bruins also added Brad Marchand and Craig Smith to their protocol list.
