Makar could surpass Quinn Hughes as the fastest defenseman in NHL history to record 200 career Assists.
To achieve this, he would need 19 Assists in 16 games. Something that should not be out of reach for the former Norris Trophy winner.

With 246 career points, Makar needs just 13 points to surpass Adam Foote (259) for the third most by a defenseman in Avalanche and Nordiques history.
