Buffalo Sabres sign Owen Power to three-year, entry level contract

Today the Buffalo Sabres announced the signing of first overall pick Owen Power to a three-year, entry level contract, as confirmed by the team.




The Michigan Wolverines product put up three goals, and 29 assists in 33 games this season. The Wolverines fell to Denver in the Frozen Four semifinals on Thursday.


At 6'6" and 213 pounds, Power has the physical attributes to be a successful defenseman in the NHL.


The 19-year-old also represented the Canadian world junior squad in the eventually cancelled and rescheduled 2022 tournament, becoming the first Canadian defenseman to register a hat trick in a world juniors game.
