On Tuesday evening, the Pittsburgh Penguins signed multiple defensemen to PTO (Professional Tryout) agreements, according to Capfriendly.com.

On Tuesday Evening, the Penguins signed right-defenseman Mark pysyk and Left-defenseman Libor Hajek to Professional Tryout agreements.
As of 10:45 p.m. Tuesday, the team had not made an official announcement.
Pysyk, 31, signed an $850,000 free agency deal with the Detroit Red Wings last summer but suffered an Achilles injury just a week later and a minor setback in January. He missed the entire season as a result. His most recent NHL action was during the 2021-22 season in Buffalo.
Pysyk was initially drafted 23rd overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2010 NHL Draft. He has spent his career with the Buffalo Sabres, Pittsburgh Penguins, Florida Panthers and Dallas Stars and has played in 521 NHL games.

Hajek, 25, split last season between the New York Rangers and their AHL affiliate, the Hartford Wolfpack. He’s a left-side defenseman and played 16 games with the Rangers and 24 with the Wolfpack.
Hajek is a big defenseman who moves well. He’s 6-foot-3, 206 pounds. The Czech D-man scored one goal with the Rangers last season and has played 110 career NHL games, making his debut in 2018. He was the Tampa Bay Lightning’s second-round pick (37th overall) in the 2016 NHL draft.
The Penguins currently have $220,000 of salary cap space as of right now.
