Keith Yandle, 36-year-old defenseman, has just announced his retirement as confirmed by himself on the Spittin' Chiclets podcast tonight.
The defenseman is coming off a disappointing season in Philadelphia, which saw him put up 1 goal and 19 points in 77 games with the Flyers.
Best known for being the NHL's ironman, Yandle played in 989 consecutive games between the Coyotes, Rangers and Panthers. This record is however expected to be surpassed by Phil Kessel during the upcoming 2022-23 season.
Over 1,109 career games, Yandle scored 103 goals and 619 total points, which is very impressive for the defenseman.
Enjoy your retirement, Yandle.
