Colorado Avalanche Head Coach Jared Bednar has now confirmed after morning practice on Wednesday that Nathan Mackinnon is expected to miss upwards of 3 weeks.
The team originally announced on Tuesday ahead of their practice at Family Sports Center that Nathan Mackinnon was out with a lower-body injury.
The Colorado Avalanche super-star has already missed time early this season due to testing positive for COVID-19 so this is a major blow to the already underperforming team.
Colorado is 4-5-1 through 10 games and sitting in 6th in the Central division as of right now.
Nathan Mackinnon currently has currently 10 points (1 Goal, 9 Assists) in 8 games so far this season
J.T. Compher has once again replaced MacKinnon on the top line with wingers Gabe Landeskog and Mikko Rantanen. Colorado was getting closer to having a healthy line-up until the news about Mackinnon was announced today.
More to come.
