Canucks remove all player banners from Rogers Arena

Ahead of their first home game in two weeks, something big is brewing in Vancouver.


During the Canucks practice today, people noticed something was off about the inside decor inside Rogers Arena. The faces of the franchise, have had their banners removed.



The previous names with banners up inside Rogers Arena were Elias Pettersson, Quinn Hughes, Bo Horvat, J.T. Miller, Thatcher Demko and Brock Boeser.

From @Radiocodex on Twitter, here is a photo of one of the banners featuring Pettersson, Demko and Hughes. The photo was taken on November 5th, their most recent home game.


The picture is blurry, but you can see the banner.




There is now a lot of speculation within the Canucks community about what this could mean. Could there be a fire sale coming? With the way things have went to start this season, it appears that everyone, including head coach Bruce Boudreau, is on the hot seat.

Talks about Horvat and Boeser being traded have been heating up recently, with speculations that Columbus is interested in trading for Horvat.
