Blake Wheeler, former captain of the Winnipeg Jets, played with the most unimaginable injury during a December 15th victory against the Nashville Predators.
During the game, he was struck with a shot from team mate Josh Morrissey.
Wheeler briefly left the game in the second period, and returned in the third.
He reportedly suffered a ruptured Testicle, which is known to cause extreme pain. Surgery is required to fix the rupture.

Rick Bowness initially reported that it would take approximately four weeks for Wheeler to make his return to the team. That was three weeks back.
