The Arizona Coyotes will be tying the 2009-10 Vancouver Canucks as the only two teams in league history to embark on 14-game road trips during the NHL regular season.
The reason behind playing so many road games in a row, is due to scheduling conflicts between the Coyotes and the ASU (Arizona State University) Sun Devils. With the NCAA season underway, the Coyotes have been misplaced for most of the NHL season thus far.
In fact, Arizona is playing 20 of their first 24 games of the season on the road.
It is quite unheard of.
Their road trip began in Washington on November 5th, and will continue for 33 days until December 7th when they close out their road trip against the Edmonton Oilers.

With the Coyotes set to play at Mullett arena for the foreseeable future, it's likely that these 14-game road swings will become an annual occurrence.
