The hockey community has received some more tragic news today.

Scott Campbell (pictured above) has sadly passed away at the young age of 65.

Described as being a kind-hearted man with a large hockey IQ, Campbell will be missed.

The former defenseman had spent the majority of his playing career in the WHA (World Hockey Association), as well as two-seasons in the NHL with the Winnipeg Jets.

Details surrounding his death are unknown at the time, and are likely to be concealed by his family for the foreseeable future.

Our condolences to the family and friends who personally knew Scott Campbell, may he rest in peace.
